About the Role
Associa is seeking a Home‑Owner Association Staff Accountant to oversee association financials and maintain internal accounting controls. The role includes managing daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and FDIC limits, and meeting financial accounting objectives. The accountant will also prepare financials for the Association Board of Directors, interact with Association Managers, and review budgets. • Manage daily association accounting operations • Ensure accounting procedures comply with regulations and FDIC limits • Achieve financial accounting objectives • Oversee external and internal audits • Perform general ledger analysis • Conduct month‑end and year‑end close reconciliations • Prepare financial statements for the Association Board of Directors • Interact with Association Managers • Review and monitor Association budgets

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least five years of accounting experience, strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and regulations, and advanced skills in MS Office and accounting software. Excellent organizational, communication, and detail‑oriented abilities are required, along with the ability to pass a background check and drug screen. A degree in accounting is preferred but not required; fund‑based accounting experience is a plus. The position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, reach, stoop, crawl, talk, hear, push, pull, grasp, use hands and fingers, have clear vision, and lift up to 15 pounds.
