About the Role
Safety is the top priority at Nucor; candidates must be able to lead and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. • Propose and implement innovative solutions to steel‑making challenges focusing on safety, reliability, quality, cost and project management. • Perform electrical and electronic troubleshooting and periodic maintenance on equipment. • Work with high/low voltage systems, PLCs, instrumentation, AC/DC VFDs, motors and control systems. • Train teammates on new or modified equipment. • Work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts and overtime as required.

What You Bring
Nucor Steel West Virginia is building a state‑of‑the‑art sheet steel mill in Mason County, capable of producing up to three million tons annually. The Crane Electrical Maintenance role supports this greenfield project by performing preventative and corrective maintenance on steel‑mill equipment and helping to establish the computerized maintenance management system during construction. The position requires strong electrical troubleshooting skills, knowledge of schematics, and the ability to work flexible hours. • Interpret mechanical and electrical schematics. • Minimum 2 years industrial maintenance experience. • Fundamental electrical theory knowledge. • Experience troubleshooting 480 V motors and controls. • Prior steel‑mill experience. • 2‑ or 4‑year degree in electrical or related field. • Experience with Magnetek or equivalent equipment.
