About the Role

Reports directly to the VP of Construction. This person will lead assigned projects in close collaboration with the Project Estimator, ensuring seamless execution from initiation to completion. Responsibilities include comprehensive project management, encompassing detailed planning, organization, and prioritization of work. Working collaboratively with the Operations Team and Estimating, you will comprehend and evaluate the Scope of Work and execute it with precision. Financial acumen is a must. The individual will analyze project scopes and budgets, making decisive approvals or rejections based on actual conditions. They will proactively adjust budgets to align with true costs, serving as an alert system to the VP of Construction for potential risks to budget, gross profit margin, or schedule. The ideal candidate will mentor those around them, develop project schedules, and guide Superintendents in subcontractor scheduling while providing hands‑on management, support, and assistance. Administrative finesse is required to solicit, receive, and approve subcontractor proposals, evaluate change orders, and prepare reports and documentation. Acting as a liaison among Project Directors, Clients, Subcontractors, and in‑house personnel, the role maintains open communication, resolves issues promptly, and ensures smooth information flow. The role demands managing a busy, service‑oriented team under stress, meeting deadlines, handling competing priorities, and responding to 24/7 service needs, including overtime and weekends. Travel is extensive, and the Project Manager may attend disaster sites and hazardous environments. The manager is responsible for the entire job lifecycle through warranty, gross profit margin tracking, and regular communication with estimating. • Lead projects from initiation to completion in partnership with the Project Estimator. • Develop detailed project plans, organize tasks, and prioritize work with Operations and Estimating teams. • Analyze scopes and budgets, approve or reject based on actual conditions, and adjust budgets proactively. • Monitor and alert VP of Construction to risks affecting budget, gross profit margin, or schedule. • Mentor Superintendents, create project schedules, and coordinate subcontractor scheduling. • Solicit, evaluate, and approve subcontractor proposals; manage change orders and prepare documentation. • Serve as liaison among Project Directors, clients, subcontractors, and internal staff to resolve issues and maintain communication. • Ensure compliance with all company, state, and federal policies and regulations. • Manage high‑stress, service‑oriented environment, including overtime, weekends, 24/7 availability, extensive travel, and hazardous site conditions. • Own full project lifecycle through warranty, track gross profit margin, and update estimating on margin status.

What You Bring

Qualifications include at least five years of restoration or construction experience (or equivalent education and experience), a high school diploma (degree preferred), advanced knowledge of local, state, and federal code requirements, budgeting and cost control expertise, understanding of time and materials billing, ability to read Xactimate scopes, and strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to mentor Superintendents is also required. • Possess 5+ years of restoration/construction experience, strong code knowledge, budgeting, cost control, and Xactimate proficiency. • Demonstrate advanced verbal and written communication and ability to mentor team members.
