About the Role
The Accounting Clerk supports the organization by handling accounts payable and receivable, coordinating various company accounts, and interacting with customers and vendors as needed. This role involves posting transactions, verifying amounts, balancing entries, maintaining records, and reconciling simple bank statements. • Sort documents and post debits/credits to the appropriate accounts. • Verify amounts and codes on forms for accuracy. • Balance entries and correct discrepancies. • Adjust and maintain records such as journals, payroll/time reports, and property records. • Verify and reconcile simple bank statements or departmental records. • Evaluate, prioritize, and categorize data analytically. • Conduct basic accounting calculations and analyses.
