About the Role

Safety is the most important part of all jobs at Nucor, and candidates must be able to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards. The role involves developing and maintaining relationships with accounts to deliver the best service through face‑to‑face and inside sales, becoming an expert in the marketplace, communicating market forecasts, and resolving administrative issues such as contract changes and payment terms. You will present business opportunities, stay current with the metal recycling industry, handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment, negotiate pricing, and take initiative to purchase thousands of tons of material each month.

What You Bring

A bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field is strongly preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered, and at least two years of B2B sales experience are required. Preferred qualifications include a safety‑mindset, customer service experience, exceptional communication and professional presentation skills, self‑motivation, decisiveness, and the ability to work well under pressure and meet critical deadlines.
