About the Role
• Weld structural steel components according to drawings and specifications. • Ensure product quality and safety through visual inspections and proper housekeeping. • Obtain and maintain required welding certifications, including passing a 3G weld test within 30 days. • Operate equipment such as air‑arc gouging tools, plasma torch, and a standard overhead crane. • Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and measurement devices. • Work swing shifts, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate. • Uphold Nucor’s safety policies and lead safety initiatives on the job.

What You Bring
Nucor Towers & Structures Indiana is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Fitter Welder, a vital member of the facility’s production team. The role involves welding structural steel parts according to drawings, maintaining housekeeping, and ensuring that all components are welded correctly through visual inspection. Candidates must obtain and maintain all required welding certifications and be willing to work swing shifts. Safety is the most important part of every job at Nucor; teammates are expected to initiate, lead and uphold safety policies, procedures and housekeeping standards at all times. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, including weekends and holidays as needed. Minimum qualification is a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred experience in manufacturing, blueprint reading, measurement devices, weld symbols, and operation of a standard overhead crane.
