About the Role

The engineer will focus on projects related to specific elevator component expertise, which will be matched to the candidate’s experience and interests. Responsibilities include managing Spare Parts Leaflets, inspecting, analyzing, designing, and testing components, and authoring Technical Information Publications. The role also involves developing solutions for obsolete parts, conducting on‑site surveys and trial testing, and occasional travel. Typical duties span managing moderately sized, multidisciplinary projects; optimizing department data collection and process efficiency; providing engineering support for current production and legacy parts; troubleshooting elevator and escalator systems for field mechanics; and responding to engineering requests from supply chain, modernization, assembly, and other OSC departments. The engineer will create detailed drawings, work instructions, tooling, and technical documentation, perform root‑cause analyses of incidents, resolve part‑quality issues, and support supply‑management decisions to reduce costs and lead times. What You Bring

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least four years of engineering experience, or a Master’s degree with three years of experience. Required skills include strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, excellent organization and time management, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and competence in 3D modeling software such as Creo or AutoCAD. Experience with manufacturing, supplier relations, and the use of AI tools to enhance daily operations is essential, while knowledge of elevator or escalator mechanical systems and 3D‑printing is preferred. • Hold a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (4 yr experience) or M.S. (3 yr experience). • Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and experienced in manufacturing and supplier relations. • Ability to travel as required and work independently or collaboratively.
