About the Role

The Maintenance Technician role focuses on serving customers and guests while maintaining cleanliness, general maintenance, and repairs at a premier association marina. • Provide the highest level of customer and guest service. • Assist boats with departing and docking as needed. • Help boaters launch and recover boats from the fixed ramp. • Assist transient boaters and collect receipts. • Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs of dock house, deck, walkways, pedestals, and related equipment. • Monitor water and electrical services to the docks. • Make routine defect repairs promptly. • Notify Dock Master of concerns, problems, and specialized repairs in a timely manner. • Promote safety by encouraging participation in USCG courses and annual boat inspections. • Monitor safety of personnel on and around the docks. • Develop and maintain contingency plans for hurricanes and floods and coordinate execution with boaters. • Carry out routine cleaning duties for community and marina operations, including party deck and cypress lounge. • Perform marina‑related waste disposal and facility sanitation. • Work with Dock Master to identify and prioritize marina projects and repairs. • Deliver prompt customer service, solicit feedback, and meet commitments. • Conduct oneself professionally, handle pressure, show respect, and follow through on commitments. • Observe safety and security procedures and report unsafe conditions.

What You Bring

• Hold a high school diploma or GED. • Have two or more years of related experience or equivalent education and experience. • Demonstrate a positive attitude and fluent communication with customers. • Exhibit commercial awareness and attention to detail. • Possess proficient swimming ability (preferred). • Maintain a valid driver’s license. • Communicate clearly and persuasively in oral interactions and respond well to questions. • Write clearly and interpret written information effectively.
