About the Role
• Coordinate activities and training of shift mill operators and welders. • Instruct teammates on proper work methods and standards. • Monitor crew work quality and ensure adherence to safe work practices. • Document performance feedback and contribute to performance reviews. • Understand and manage scheduling requirements. • Implement all safety policies and procedures. • Coach and mentor teammates on work instructions, JHAs, and production equipment. • Monitor production paperwork to ensure compliance with standards. • Identify opportunities for improvement in safety, quality, cost, and productivity.

What You Bring
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Lead will be an integral member of the Nucor Skyline team who understands the production environment, brings a strong and consistent work ethic, and demonstrates a commitment to the safety and success of the team. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and in a group, and be willing to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays as operating conditions require. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; candidates must demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. • Hold a High School Diploma or GED. • Bring at least three years of experience in a manufacturing or high‑pace production environment. • Possess leadership training or demonstrated leadership experience.
