About the Role
This position assumes total responsibility for the building/property. The Engineer closely monitors, identifies, and communicates problems in every phase of general maintenance, including carpentry, electrical work, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, painting, flooring, hardware, minor repairs, and cleanliness. The role involves making recommendations, performing repairs and replacement maintenance, and implementing preventive maintenance according to company procedures. The Engineer maintains a safe and secure environment, supervises and trains maintenance staff through work orders, and plans, monitors, and appraises job results while coaching and disciplining employees. They assess repair needs, estimate required time, and decide whether professional assistance is necessary. Additionally, they schedule work to meet shift requirements and manage the procurement of materials, tools, and supplies. The Engineer completes work‑order reports, provides on‑call emergency availability, and administers both preventive and reactive maintenance schedules. They record and evaluate maintenance activities, oversee construction and installation of equipment, and orient new employees to maintenance tasks, always adhering to safety procedures. • Monitor the functions of service contractors and building repair and maintenance contractors. • Inventory and acquire maintenance supplies. • Maintain disaster preparedness by identifying potential problems, developing response plans, and managing crises.

What You Bring
