About the Role

The Purchasing Administrator coordinates, manages, and executes procurement strategies, including sourcing, procuring, and expediting maintenance, repair, and warehouse‑stocked items, while developing effective processes and vendor relationships to drive financial success for the Division. This role ensures timely acquisition of essential materials to support operations. Additional responsibilities involve proactive research of cost‑saving and value‑added opportunities, participation in Nucor buy initiatives, development and execution of bidding procedures, negotiation of pricing and terms, and continuous improvement of internal control and quality system procedures. These tasks help optimize spend and maintain compliance. The role also assists the warehouse with procuring VMI products and managing various pricing contracts, and requires candidates to demonstrate the ability to lead and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
