About the Role

The role’s purpose is to manage complex projects from estimating through final completion, coordinating detailers, products, placers, and vendors while cultivating a positive customer service environment and maximizing profits for Nucor Rebar Fabrication. Safety is paramount; candidates must be able to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. • Review contracts and drawings; coordinate detailing for cost‑effective delivery. • Ensure Nucor Rebar Fabrication meets contractual obligations on assigned projects. • Coordinate project requirements with contractor representatives and the placing team. • Schedule detailing and delivery of products with contractors, detailers, and production staff. • Review project changes, determine scope, verify accuracy, and process change order documentation. • Assist in the change order process through customer acceptance. • Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to staff, workers, and customers. • Represent the company in project meetings as needed. • Collaborate with Placing Manager and Sales Service Supervisor to control contract finances and maintain customer relations. • Prepare reports on work progress, costs, and scheduling. • Perform typical jobsite activities such as walking, standing, bending, operating tools and computers, lifting equipment, and working in moderate noise levels.

What You Bring

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, and possess extensive construction project management or at least ten years of reinforcing steel sales, detailing, fabrication, placing, or related steel industry experience. Work will primarily be on specific job sites, requiring PPE, and may involve hours beyond the normal business day with typical site activities such as walking, standing, lifting equipment, and exposure to moderate noise. • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future. • Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience. • Have construction project management experience or at least ten years in reinforcing steel sales, detailing, fabrication, placing, or related steel industry roles. • Wear required PPE on site (safety shoes, glasses, hard hat, gloves, hearing protection, etc.).
