About the Role
The technician will collaborate closely with installers, electricians, adjusters, trade assistants, field engineers, and construction coordinators to deliver lift and escalator services across the region. Key duties include performing service and maintenance tasks according to job procedures and manuals, providing after‑call‑back coverage, identifying continuous‑improvement opportunities, and training apprentices and subcontractors in electrical and mechanical practices. The role also requires attending breakdowns, conducting repairs, re‑roping, hoisting, rigging, and upgrades in line with the SAA Lift Code AS1735, while liaising with customers and submitting leads through Otis applications. • Perform service, maintenance, and repairs on lifts and escalators per manuals and relevant codes. • Provide after‑call‑back standby coverage and identify process‑improvement opportunities. • Train apprentices, subcontractors, and internal staff in electrical and mechanical procedures. • Attend breakdowns, execute re‑roping, hoisting, rigging, and upgrade work in compliance with SAA Lift Code AS1735. • Liaise with customers, submit leads via Otis applications, and coordinate with field engineers and service mechanics.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold an electrical licence or a Cert III in Electrotechnology, a valid driver’s licence, and possess 3–5 years of lift‑industry experience, strong electrical/mechanical knowledge, fault‑finding skills, and proficiency with mobile technology and Microsoft Office. • Hold an electrical licence or Cert III in Electrotechnology and a valid driver’s licence. • Minimum 3–5 years lift‑industry experience with strong electrical/mechanical knowledge and fault‑finding ability. • Proficient with mobile applications, Microsoft Office, and strong written and verbal English communication. • Commitment to safety, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
