The Role
Overview
Design and oversee municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater pipeline projects.

Tasks
-Work on projects related to pipeline failure analysis and pipeline forensics analysis. -Stay current on industry trends and advancements in pipeline design and engineering. -Work on projects from planning through design and construction services, for new and rehabilitation pipe designs. -Technical writing, reviewing, and providing clear, concise input to investigations, memorandums, or engineering reports and documentations. -Provide technical guidance to AECOM project teams and mentoring junior level staff. -Collaborate with pipeline design experts to develop and review design and construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates. -Conduct field inspections and condition assessments to ensure compliance with design standards and regulations.

What You Bring
-Demonstrated ability to successfully work in diverse teams. -Master’s Degree -8 years of project experience in design of municipal water, wastewater and/or stormwater pipeline design, analysis, installation, and inspection. -Valid U.S. Driver’s License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records Review. -Previous experience working with pipeline design codes, standards, and regulations. -Strong ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D CAD drawings. -Finite element analysis experience. -Participation in AWWA and/or other relevant organizations. -Understanding of water and storm and sanitary sewer rehabilitation. -Experience with pressure pipe design. -12 years of project experience in design of municipal water, wastewater and/or stormwater pipeline design, analysis, installation, and inspection. -Licensed PE or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire. -Past experience with pipeline condition assessment and analysis. -BS in Civil, Geotechnical or Structural Engineering, and 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency or experience and/or education. -Understanding of construction methods, such as open-cut and trenchless (micro tunneling, jack and bore, etc.) for sewer and water infrastructure. -Experience with pipe stress analysis. -Previous experience in Mathcad / MATLAB.
