Tasks

The Assistant Fulfillment Manager is responsible for customer service, generating quotes, order, and invoice processing, picking, and packing products for shipping, preparing shipping labels, unloading freight as needed and verifying inventory received. Some interaction with customers is required. This position requires customer service skills, a team mentality, and a high degree of accuracy. -Keep work area clean and organized to include racks, shelves, and bins. -Unload and count inbound shipments. -Supervise staff that are picking and shipping products, ensure picking and packing accuracy and efficiency. This will comprise of assisting with interviewing, hiring, reviews and discipline. -Prepare quotes for sales reps. -Fill in for manager in his absence. -Track shipments for customers. -Oversee quality control and safety measures, securing premises daily, in absence of the Fulfillment Manager. -Maintain a safe and clean work environment -Assist customers over the phone or by email. -Fulfill orders by pulling materials, packing boxes, palletizing, and preparing shipments, and printing bills of lading and shipping labels. -Follow all safety policies and procedures. -Complete accurate paperwork for shipping and invoicing. -Assist manager with inventory management. -Enter customer orders.

What You Bring

A pre-employment drug screen and/or background check is required. -Proficient with computer systems and Microsoft Office -Forklift operation experience is required -Familiarity in building/construction industry is preferred. -Willing and able to work in a partially air-conditioned warehouse environment. -2 years of warehouse experience preferred -Must be able to lift, push and pull up to seventy (70) pounds. -Valid driver’s license, safe/good driving record -Must possess visual acuity to read shipping documents and labeling. -Must be able to stand, lift, and bend for up to ten (10) hours or more per day. -Must be at least 18 years old -Good communication, organizational, time management skills; attention to detail -Must be able to read, write and speak in English -Excellent attendance: capable of working overtime and weekends as needed -Must have reliable transportation to work -High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
