New Home Construction HVAC Installation Trainee

Overview

Assist and learn HVAC installation for new home construction as a trainee.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Fabricating and installing sheet metal ducts and transitions -Measuring and threading piping -Installing and brazing refrigeration line sets -Performing outdoor work in all weather conditions (extreme temperatures) -Using test equipment -Assisting Installation and Senior Technicians on the job -Installing registers and grilles -Working on ladders up to 32 feet -Assisting with system start-up, testing, and balancing -Installing residential HVAC systems (furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, etc.)

What You Bring

-Lifting up to 100 lbs. and carrying loads up to 50 feet -Valid NYS driver’s license (must be insurable under company policy) -Comfortable working at heights -Dependable and able to work efficiently under changing schedules or time pressures -Construction background or mechanical experience a plus -Strong communication and reading skills – able to follow written instructions and talk comfortably with customers and coworkers -High school diploma or equivalent
