Tasks

-Assists the design team in the coordination of project designs with other disciplines. -Assists activities to ensure that construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements. -Accompanies senior technical staff in performing on-site inspections during construction. -Actively participates in professional organizations where the technical reputation and image of the firm may be enhanced. -Performs work in the time frame and budget allotted. -Uses computer assisted design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks. -Learns and participates in the execution of specific engineering and design analyses. -With the support and over sight of the senior technical staff designs and specifies equipment, facilities, components, and systems for the aviation, transit and commercial, industries. -Learns how to communicate design requirements with contractors and equipment suppliers.
