Production Operator

Overview

Operate and maintain production machinery, ensure quality, and follow safety protocols.

Tasks

-Work is performed in a normal manufacturing environment (without climate control) -Employee shall participate in maintaining 5S in all areas of the facility, including sweeping, cleaning, organizing, and other related tasks -Record production data and report any issues to the supervisor -Maintain a clean and organized work area -Conduct quality checks and ensure finished products meet specifications -Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately and efficiently -Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and make minor repairs to equipment -Drive forklift to stack/unstack and move products and materials -Complete regular checks to make sure our wrap meets quality standards including Miami Dade qualification for roofing underlayment -Operate and monitor production machinery in accordance with company standards and safety guidelines -Read and interpret production work orders for size/print of finished material -Follow safe work practices and maintain a working knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures

What You Bring

-High school diploma or GED; technical training or certifications a plus -Familiarity with production tracking or quality systems -2+ years of experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or production environment -Able to lift 50 lbs and be on your feet for long stretches -Ability to work independently and as part of a team -Ability to operate a variety of machinery (Printing press, rewinders, forklift, powered pallet jack, floor scrubber) -Manufacturing experience is highly preferred -Basic computer skills for entering production data or using digital controls -Production experience -Problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude -Proven experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing or industrial environment -Willingness to work different shifts if necessary -Must be will to work assigned shift and overtime as needed (both during the week and Saturdays if production demand requires it)
