Overview

Entry-level engineer designing, analyzing, and inspecting bridges and transportation structures.

Tasks

-Support the team in developing project quantity takeoffs and cost estimates -Assist with fieldwork or site inspections as required by project needs -Provide support in conducting bridge load rating assessments -Perform engineering duties on projects of various complexity as directed by a senior engineer/designer -Contribute to the preparation of drawings, reports, and structural calculations for bridges and other transportation infrastructure -Takes initiative on tasks and in coordinating with other members of the design team -Conduct basic interpretations of drawings, codes, and other similar materials

What You Bring

-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field -Use advanced structural analysis and design software -Excellent organization, project management and communication skills both written and verbal along with excellent interpersonal abilities and willingness to work in a team -Some working knowledge of codes, legal and design requirements would be preferred -Ability to solve problems using sound professional judgment, creativity and innovation -Experience in Open Bridge Modeler, Microstation and/or AutoCAD is preferred -Ability to create and interpret sketches, drawings, and various elements -Minimum of 03 years of experience. Relevant coop/internship experience preferred -Engineer in Training (EIT) designation preferred or ability to obtain within six (6) months from date of hire
