Overview

Oversee on‑site construction, safety, quality and schedule for power projects

Tasks

-Review contractor invoices, manage material delivery and inventory, and inspect work for quality and compliance. -Report incidents and collaborate with the Customer and regulatory inspectors (e.g., NYSDEC, EPA, CT DEEP). -Conduct daily safety briefings and weekly inspections. -Provide daily environmental tips and conduct weekly environmental inspections. -Testing and maintenance of electrical equipment -Supervise all field activities, including civil, mechanical, and electrical work. -Review and enforce contractor Health and Safety Plans (HASP). -Ensure incident, near miss, and injury reporting are completed and investigated. -Coordinate field activities with local and state authorities and manage outage requests via E-STAR/CONVEX. -Review and update Environmental Management Plans. -Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports including site meeting minutes and audit logs. -Ensure all IFC drawings are current; track contractor red-line markups. -Support permits compliance, testing verifications, and final as-built review. -Escort visitors and ensure compliance with OSHA and site-specific safety standards. -Document audits, third-party inspection reports, and environmental compliance. -Validate all material submittals, delivery receipts, and contractor documentation. -Maintain up to date on-site as-built drawings and documentation. -Propose and track Corrective and Preventive Action Reports (CAR/PAR). -Assist in reviewing Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and monitor test completion. -Lead daily coordination with contractors; conduct weekly progress meetings and ensure two-week lookahead schedules are submitted. -Provide proactive field support and resolve construction discrepancies in collaboration with engineering and contractors. -Monitor construction progress, comparing contractor schedules to project baselines. -Maintain documentation in ProjectWise and verify all SAP forms for equipment installation/removal. -Support final documentation handover and Lessons Learned reporting. -Track change orders, RFIs, design modifications, and correspondence; advise PM on claims or scope changes.

-Experience with outage coordination, tagging procedures, and safety audits -Knowledge of substation/transmission/distribution systems -OSHA 30-Hour Training -SCADA and automation systems -First Aid / AED Certification -Familiarity with NEC, NESC, OSHA, FERC, NERC, and CIP standards -Valid Driver's License -Background check clearance per IUSA Contractor policy -Bachelor’s degree in engineering (ABET-accredited) or equivalent, with at least 10 years of relevant experience in:
