  • Maintain a working knowledge of competitors’ products and services and of emerging trends in the energy industry as a whole.
  • Translate technical capabilities into business value propositions
  • Responsible for combining a deep understanding of business issues and end-to-end product offerings to define solutions that provide key business value.
  • Responsible for representing the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.
  • Work closely with Product Management Teams in defining product strategy, vision and message.
  • Support strategic stakeholders, including consultants, alliances, and partners.
  • Serve as the technical advisor to both account managers and prospective clients.
  • Develop and deliver presentations and product demonstrations tailored to customer requirements and the competitive sales situation.
  • Develop customer documentation: technical notes, whitepapers, presentations and reference system architecture.
  • Provide solution consultation in support of Sales opportunities
  • Responsible for working with Sales to research and analyze customer needs and define the overall technical and business solution.
  • Represent Landis+Gyr solutions at industry events such as conferences, seminars, and workshops.
  • Provide thought leadership through white papers, webinars, blogs, conference panel presentations and industry forums.
  • Responsible for working with Sales to develop account-winning strategies and deliver the technical support needed to successfully close opportunities.
  • Convey customer requirements to Product Management teams.
  • Translate market requirements into actionable insights for product positioning and corporate strategy.
  • Develop pre-sales solutions aligned with customer use cases in Analytics, DERMS, Flexibility Management, Non-Wires Alternatives, Advanced Demand Response.

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with strong presentation and public speaking experience.
  • Familiarity with SaaS offerings is a plus.
  • Proven negotiation skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%, including internationally.
  • Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
  • Utility industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM systems.
  • Critical thinking and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
  • Creative and adaptable approach to overcoming sales and solution obstacles.
  • Strong organizational skills, including prioritization, project management, and resource coordination.
  • Solid understanding of business fundamentals and cross-functional roles, including marketing, sales, legal, product management, and R&D.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within direct and virtual teams to achieve sales objectives.
  • Must be able to translate market requirement knowledge into constructive inputs into the organization to guide corporate direction in products and positioning.
  • Valid driver’s license and passport.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across organizations without direct reporting authority.
  • Familiarity with utility operations, AMI, Cloud technologies, Grid Analytics, DERMS, Non-Wires Alternatives, Advanced Demand Response is a plus.
  • Able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs.
