The Pursuit Manager is a dedicated resource assigned to lead the pursuit and proposal process dedicated to winning a business opportunity once a “go” decision is made. Responsible for overall pursuit strategy for an opportunity, including resources required to successfully propose and successfully build as well as effective and compelling RFI, RFQ, RFP submittals and eventual turn-over to operations.

Coordinate Lane’s efforts with Designer, JV Partner, Concessionaire and/or a Project Developer to define a scope and estimate costs for potential projects (including ROW, permitting, scheduling, etc.) as well as to drive successful partnership in proposal process.

Be involved throughout process: provide input into upfront opportunity identification and validation and eventually create Operations ownership of construction approach and pricing. Make sure Operations is involved in “Go” decision and specifics of timing and expectations.

Drive process to deliver innovative solutions which differentiate Lane and position us for successful results. Make sure technical proposal delivers on requirements and achieves extremely high scores.

Make sure Operations is aware of competitive nature of pursuit and owners’ expectations so proposal is appropriately cost competitive while still delivering desired profit margins.
