
The Pursuit Manager is a dedicated resource assigned to lead the pursuit and proposal process dedicated to winning a business opportunity once a “go” decision is made. Responsible for overall pursuit strategy for an opportunity, including resources required to successfully propose and successfully build as well as effective and compelling RFI, RFQ, RFP submittals and eventual turn-over to operations.
Coordinate Lane’s efforts with Designer, JV Partner, Concessionaire and/or a Project Developer to define a scope and estimate costs for potential projects (including ROW, permitting, scheduling, etc.) as well as to drive successful partnership in proposal process.
Be involved throughout process: provide input into upfront opportunity identification and validation and eventually create Operations ownership of construction approach and pricing. Make sure Operations is involved in “Go” decision and specifics of timing and expectations.
Drive process to deliver innovative solutions which differentiate Lane and position us for successful results. Make sure technical proposal delivers on requirements and achieves extremely high scores.
Make sure Operations is aware of competitive nature of pursuit and owners’ expectations so proposal is appropriately cost competitive while still delivering desired profit margins.
Lead the proposal process: Engage proposal manager in process and ensure technical writers have all information and support needed for all writing assignments/proposals.

Bachelor's Degree

Position to be based in Central Florida area in support of project pursuits primarily in Central Florida region, with approximately 50% travel.
Proven ability to act in leadership capacity
Ability to synthesize information related to operations/functional areas and discern the appropriate representation in communications
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and move between multiple proposals, and manage time and projects appropriately
Must have experience with Design-Build highway projects
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, and offer constructive feedback and direction to support team goals

Understand all relevant details of the opportunity and owner/decision maker expectations so the team has a good grasp of what is expected and what it will take to win.
