Overview

Conduct field-based biological monitoring of wildlife and habitat for projects.

Tasks

-Electronic data collection. -Coordinating with construction contractors, project managers, and resource specialists. -Handheld and sub-meter accurate GPS data collection. -Monitoring efforts include avian surveys, aquatic species relocations, snake monitoring, and plant relocations. -Daily reporting and survey report compilation.

What You Bring

-General habitat and avian nesting experience -CPUC qualified is preferred -Must have a strong attentional to detail in documentation of work. -Willingness and ability to travel as needed. -Ability to work safely outdoors in variable weather conditions. -BS degree in a natural science field of study preferred. -Experience preparing Section 404, 401, 1600, 2081 permit applications -Must have strong organizational and communication skills. -Demonstrated independent and effective problem solving and decision making skills. -Minimum of two field seasons with biological field work.
