The Role
Overview
Develops and manages workplace interior design documents using Revit and oversees construction.

Tasks
-Lead the Construction Administration phase responding to RFI’s, CO’s, reviewing shop drawings and involved in the field site reviews. -Prepares 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings. -Ensure project documentation is compliant with NELSON standard for all projects and processes. -Conduct design charrettes and lead project team meetings -Contribute to developing fee proposals. -Develops solutions to technical and design problems following established standards. -Prepare and modify interior architectural documents, elevations, sections, details, etc. -Selection and specification of materials, products, and architectural systems. -Assists Project Manager in sub-contracting or the coordination of sub-consultant’s work. -Supports the team in collecting information for client assessment; may attend interviews, provide documentation support. -Provide research and compile data during project phases. -Serve as team lead in keeping the project, or a phase of a project, on schedule in conjunction with Project Manager -Develop innovative design concepts which are practical, aesthetic, safe and conducive to intended purposes and function which is reflective of client goals and within project budget. -May assist with negotiating fees and sub-contracts. -Support the Project Manager in establishing project goals and objectives including workplan, schedule, budget parameters. -Responsible for communication and coordination of other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure incorporation of all information into project requirements and provides support as necessary. -Culture of Transformation: Act as a community to accelerate firm impact -Complete timesheet and expense reports accurately and on-time -Participate in maintaining positive client relationships throughout project. -Lead, facilitate and manage the overall design process for moderately complex projects independently and support larger complex projects under supervision.

What You Bring
-Advanced knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models -Advanced knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, materials application and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness; consistently share such knowledge with teammates -Highly proficient in both Revit and AutoCAD -Advanced knowledge of sustainability, integrated design and LEED guidelines -Strong attention to detail -8+ years of relevant industry experience -Advanced knowledge of furniture, fixture and equipment (FF&E), architectural/interior finishes, lighting, art signage, color and materials to carryout design intent -Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Drafting, or related field -Familiarity with Photoshop and/or InDesign preferred -Basic proficiency in Deltek Vision / Vantagepoint -Architectural / Technical experience working on Corporate Interiors and Workplace design -Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign graphic software preferred -Ability to organize and prioritize tasks as needed to complete within the identified time frame and/or deadline -Ability to prioritize and effectively meet deadlines and provide high quality service to clients
