The Role

Overview

Manage HR records, onboarding, compliance, and talent strategy at territory level

Tasks

-Facilitating pre-onboarding and onboarding system entries and new hire MVRs when applicable. -Ensure adherence to labor laws and regulations, keeping up-to-date with changes in employment legislation. -Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. -Manages processes that result in accurate and up-to-date people files, records, and documentation. -Plans, communicates, and facilitates new hire orientation. -Support initiatives aimed at enhancing organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction. -Partners with Territory Leadership to understand and execute Power’s People Division and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning. -Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications. -Manage the integrity and confidentiality of human resources files and records. -Handles employment related inquires for applicants, employees, and managers; referring complex and/or sensitive matters to appropriate staff. -Participate in team meetings and contribute to organizational projects and initiatives. -Daily reviewing people files and records to ensure that documents are accurately completed, filed appropriately, and meet compliance standards.

What You Bring

-Moderate travel may be required -Proficient with Apple iWork Suite -3 - 5 Year experience preferred -Strong organizational skills and attention to detail -Associate or Bachelor Degree preferred -Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in People Resources, Talent Management, and employment law. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills -High School Diploma or GED required -SHRM CP/SCP Preferred -Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy -Strong ability to manage change and guide others through it -Proficient with the ability to quickly learn human resource information system (HRIS) and similar computer applications -Strong ability to build business acumen to drive effective HR collaboration -Prior related HR experience preferred
