Tasks

-Perform structural calculations by hand and with computer-assisted engineering software. -Review shop drawings, answer requests for information, and provide construction site visits. -Performs quality control reviews and ensures achievement of key milestones. Perform as-needed field reviews and observations of ongoing construction projects to maintain and increase understanding of construction practices and design applications. -Prepare construction documents, including structural drawings and specifications. -Formulates and solves problems with timely and innovative solutions. -May provide technical guidance and assign tasks to junior and support staff for project duration. May also manage discipline and small multidisciplinary teams and ensure adherence to company and project contractual requirements. -Maintains professional registration and licensure by ensuring conformance with professional, ethical, educational, and discipline practice requirements. Remains knowledgeable of all applicable federal, state, and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances that are pertinent to respective discipline. -Designs a complete project, system, component, or process and prepares project documents, engineering analysis, and reports. -Coordinate with other internal disciplines, including architecture, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical.

What You Bring

-This experience includes working on parts of a major project or multiple moderate-sized projects. -5+ years of relevant experience. -Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited university. -Understanding of building codes and specific design codes related to structural engineering (ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, etc). -Proficient in Revit. -Possess strong oral and communication skills. -Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word. -Professional Registration. -Skilled in the use of structural design and analysis software (RAM, Enercalc, ETABS, etc). -Proven experience leading and/or providing technical guidance to entry/junior-level staff. This includes proven experience reviewing others' work for technical accuracy.
