Tasks

The Field Construction Manager will conduct direct and indirect inspections to various Electric Utility Construction projects to meet client needs. The FCM will oversee contractor construction activities on behalf of the Owner to ensure compliance with the plans and specifications, safety and environmental regulations, and Company requirements, they will coordinate onsite work activities with Company operations, and other projects. The FCM will coordinate and manage on site work documentation and communications in support of the overall Construction Manager, Project Manager, and/or the Owner. The FCM is responsible for coordination of material delivery, develop and maintain as-built documentation, and must be onsite whenever work of any nature is being performed, monitor schedule, and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports. The prospective individual will have a willingness to learn and adapt to changing environments throughout the industry. -Demonstrates leadership in health, safety and environmental protection on the project. Applies the requirements of the project specific safety program to promote overall compliance of health and safety standards, applicable regulations and codes with all employees and subcontractors on the project -Ensures installation is in accordance with utilities Construction Standards, O/M Manual, Federal and State law, and Industry best practices -Document contractor day to day activities -Work closely with the Project Manager for day-to-day operations -Keep written/photographs and records onsite to adequately document project to client standards -Assure contractor obligation and adherence to design plans, changeorders, RFIs, MOC, etc.
