The Role

Overview

Assist project managers with commercial construction administration and coordination.

Tasks

-Reviews project costs and scheduling to ensure completion of project within budget and in conformance with contract. -Assists with and monitors change orders. -Receive moderate to limited supervision working from objectives set by supervisor. -Assists the Project Management team with management administration construction project, following set guidelines for completion of tasks. -May assist with regulatory compliance and financial reporting. -Works closely with Digital Technology team and may use modelling software. -Works with document control systems, project management systems and other software or databases to keep information flow up-to-date and accurate. -Interacts with Superintendents to address project questions/issues. -May provide technical direction and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies. -Employee organizes and carries out most assignments in accordance with standard practices, instructions, or previous training. -Materials coordination and procurement . -Attends meetings and reports on project tasks as needed.

What You Bring

-Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). -Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test. -OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is highly desirable. -Experience in planning, coordinating, and overseeing phases of the construction project from inception to closeout. -Prior experience in commercial construction from a large general contractor. -This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization now or in the future. -Experience with project documentation, including RFI, submittals, change orders and contracts. -Ability to read, interpret, and understand construction plans, blueprints, and specifications. -Experience with project expenditures, cost forecasting and reporting, subcontractor invoicing and budget variances to ensure cost control. -BA/BS Construction Management, Engineering or similar curriculum and 2 years of commercial construction related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. -Site safety inspection experience.
