A Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, accessing, bidding and winning new business opportunities for the group. We are a services group looking for project opportunities as well as new long term accounts.

  • Generate business development opportunities by leveraging opportunities brought by other channels (Hexagon, Partners, Marketing)
  • Work directly with the Sales Engineers team to answer technical questions posed by customers.
  • Analyzing sales metrics to determine whether current sales strategies are effective.
  • Generate business development opportunities by contacting people in the network.
  • Forecast quarterly and annual sales opportunities
  • Work with Marketing to create marketing campaigns and other marketing content/material
  • Identifying promising prospects through cold-calling, networking, and customer referrals.
  • Help EMEA management to direct sales in the region by identifying areas of opportunity (Data Centres, New Construction, Retail, etc)
  • Conducting in-depth research on competitors' products, pricing, and market success to gain insight into customer preferences and interests.
  • Maintaining accurate records of the total number of sales made, potential and existing customers, as well as sales employee performance evaluations.
  • Cultivating solid relationships with major customers to ensure a continuous flow of sales revenue.
  • Review, understand and align with the company's general and regional business development strategy and goals.

As such, previous work experience in the UK and other EMEA countries is key.

The position is based in the UK with a focus on the UK (London preferred) and other European countries (northern Europe). The position requires previous experience in the industry (Construction / Facilities Management) and a wide network of accessible contacts (not constrained by non-competes or similars) in these regions.

Most of our sales are consultative. Strong communication skills are required.

  • Proven work experience as a Regional Sales Manager, Area Manager or similar senior sales role. AEC industry strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with CRM software

  • Proven sales experience.
  • Proficiency in all Google and or Microsoft Office applications as well as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.

  • Availability to travel as needed. Experience in event and booth representation is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in the AEC industry or in business or marketing.
