Tasks

Field Application Engineer (Power) will work with BGs, internal stakeholders, and Customers to understand and respond, from a detailed technical perspective, to our customer’s power requirements and challenges as they relate to Delta’s products. All aspects of technical development will fall under the Sr. FAE’s responsibility, and working closely with the PM and Account Manager as well as fostering a trusting relationship with customer contacts will be vital to success in this position. The job is based in Delta’s Fremont, California headquarters. -Working closely with BU/BG in Asia to follow project status.. -Perform testing and present simulation data to customers with a focus on understanding customer expectations & working to ensure internal teams hold to those standards -Build and Maintain relationships with key OEM/ODM customers so they call you first whenever they have a new opportunity

What You Bring

Excellent verbal and communication skills 20% Travel required with overnight stays Strong Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and effective presentation skills Ability to work under pressure and to maintain deadlines Self-driven and results oriented -Professional and/or educational experience in power electronics, Solutions Engineer, or similar role in IT Company. -Strong communication and organizational skills: -Capacity to identify risks and raise issues to relevant stakeholders -b) Ability to work with BU/BG as well as Account Management to communicate project status & any technical issues for resolution with as much detail as possible, in both technical terms (engineering) and high-level terms (business) with the aim of security additional business opportunities for Delta. -Quick learner and flexible to adopt of company working culture and processes -Bachelors degree is EE is required, Master’s degree in EE is Preferred -a) Ability to build trust with our customer so that they feel free to discuss their issues freely, and to share potential solutions they would like to see explored -3 plus years in Power Engineering or Field Application role. -Maintain a high degree of technical knowledge in AC/DC and DC/DC technologies, including modules, silver-box, power shelves, cold-plate cooling options, and willingness to explore additional technologies as they emerge
