Tasks

-Management of project logistics, organization, and reporting, e.g. meetings, daily reports, monthly reports. -Provides oversight of progress of construction. -Ensures contractors, architects, and engineers will adhere to contractual requirements on areas of safety, performance, project staffing, and equipment. -Leads project closeout activities including punchlist, training, record drawings, guarantees, warranties, O&Ms, related provisions for final project delivery to Owner entities. -Coordinate and monitor activities of contractors/subcontractors, engineers, architects, and related entities, e.g. RFIs, Submittals, PCOs, payment applications. -Coordinate pre-construction services such as constructability reviews of design documents, review cost reconciliations, develop Div 0 & 1 documents for design-builder procurement. -Manage project controls, cost, schedule, performance activities, and procedures. -Facilitate project meetings and provide meeting minutes, documentation, administration, tracking of relevant information, and follow-up on action items of all participants. -Manage development of design including coordination with City and County stakeholders, user groups, and AHJs.

What You Bring

-Experience with permitting with local authorities having jurisdiction. -Strong computer skills and proficiency in Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat, Excel, and Word; experience with project-related Construction Management systems preferred. -Ability to meet deadlines and be proactive in analyzing the project and next steps to achieve success. -High level of attention to detail and documentation of deliverables. -Minimum of 7 years field experience administering construction contracts for public projects. -Thorough knowledge of construction contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications to ensure compliance to construction/project requirements. -Excellent organizational skills and ability to plan setting short and long term goals. -Good use of management skills with the ability to track issues to resolution. -Excellent verbal and written skills for clear and concise communication to team members. -Experience managing the design process, e.g. user group meetings, constructibility reviews, drawings, and specifications development. -Ability to manage staff effectively and provide opportunities to expand their knowledge base and careers. -Experience with design-build delivery method, public works projects, and fire station projects. -4-year college degree required. Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture, Construction Management or Engineering preferred. -Excellent negotiation skills, especially for design issues. -Ability to work positively in a team environment.
