Tasks

Adopting clean energy and securing a livable planet call for new ways of building, innovating, and working. -Understand and explain the interaction between battery systems and inverters, helping customers optimize their energy storage solutions for various applications. -Serve as support to subject matter experts for BESS projects. -Assist the sales team in preparing proposals, technical documents, and quotations for potential customers. -Establish strong and positive relationships with customers by actively listening to their needs and providing tailored solutions. -Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and workshops to showcase the benefits and capabilities of BESS and related technologies. -Participate in sales meetings to address technical questions and concerns. -Respond to inquiries promptly and offer technical guidance throughout the sales process. -Stay updated on the latest industry trends, competitors' offerings, and emerging technologies related to energy storage and inverter applications. -Collaborate with customers to design customized energy storage solutions that meet their specific requirements and budget.

What You Bring

This position is hybrid. Please do not apply to this role unless you are willing to commute to Fremont, CA several times a week. We are seeking a dynamic Sales Engineer/Application Engineer with a passion for the battery industry and specific expertise in Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries and inverter applications. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an engineering construction and procurement company as an engineer working on utility-scale battery energy storage systems (UBESS) or in BESS applications engineering. This experience should be combined with extensive knowledge of batteries and balance-of-plant components. In addition to technical expertise, the candidate should possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to provide amazing customer experience. -Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time, including travel to China with clients, to meet with clients, attend conferences, and conduct training sessions. -Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience preferably with batteries. -Demonstrate knowledge of the engineering process, best practices, project management phases, integration, and systems used in utility-scale energy storage projects. -Understanding of inverter applications and their integration with energy storage systems. -Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and concisely. -Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to address customer challenges effectively. -Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related field. -Exceptional customer-centric approach with a track record of providing outstanding customer experiences. -Knowledge of battery chemistry and characteristics. -Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. -Familiarity with battery management systems (BMS) and their role in BESS is a plus.
