The position plays a critical role in managing the end-to-end bid lifecycle, supporting go/no-go decisions, and embedding best practice in pursuit management.

The Bids & Proposals Advisor leads the preparation of compelling, high-quality bids and proposals for WT nationally. This role ensures bids are client-focused, strategically aligned, and competitive, while strengthening processes and building consistency across the business.

  • Develop high-quality submissions: Manage bids, EOIs, and tenders that reflect WT’s commitment to excellence and align with client needs.
  • Strengthen proposal processes: Lead go/no-go reviews, refine bid templates, libraries, and supporting materials to improve efficiency and win rates.
  • Promote collaboration: Foster strong relationships across teams and sectors, working as part of One WT to pursue strategic opportunities.
  • Support business development tools: Integrate CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) into bid workflows; develop case studies and BD collateral.
  • Champion best practice: Collaborate with National Bid Lead and national bids function to align non-technical responses, templates and strategies; mentor team members and build national bid capability.
  • Understand our clients: Analyse EOIs, RFTs, and RFQs to shape winning strategies; collaborate with sector and client leads across building/construction, infrastructure, defence, and professional services sectors to ensure alignment.
  • Improve proposal quality: Use InDesign to produce professional, visually engaging, and brand-consistent proposals; embed client feedback for continuous improvement.

Please note, the role is open for candidates in either Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane locations.

  • Experience applying structured go/no-go decision frameworks.
  • Understanding of brand consistency and visual communication principles.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM/bid management systems (preferred).
  • WT’s balanced way of working
  • 3–5 years in bids/proposals, ideally within building/construction, infrastructure, defence, or professional services.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe InDesign.
  • Strong writing, editing, and document design skills.
  • Demonstrated success in managing the end-to-end bid lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders under tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with government and private sector procurement processes.
