Overview

Assist in interior design production, code compliance, and construction support.

Tasks

-Subject to final approval of Lead Professional, checks shop drawings and submittal data for conformance with contract documents. -Assists Lead Professional with plotting/production/assembly of drawing packages and writing specifications. -Advises Design Manager of changes. -Participates in coordination review sessions -Assists Lead Professional in field inspections, development of solutions to field problems, preparation of field orders, addenda and record drawings. -Performs dimensional, interference and basic design checks on the layouts and sketches of Licensed Professional and, as requested, on interdisciplinary drawing sets. -Shop drawings returned on schedule. -Reviews applicable shop drawings and submittal data for compliance with construction documents. -Adhere to project strategy. -Code compliance review with design professional. -Maintains orderly work files and prepares clear, well written memos/correspondence. When assigned, prepares presentation materials. -Responsible for design compliance with Owner criteria. -Applies discipline design and detailing fundamentals in developing designs and specifications under the supervision of and subject to final approval by the Lead Professional. -Meets scheduled key dates. -Discusses progress regularly with Licensed Professional of Record. -Coordinates work with other disciplines. Performs interdisciplinary coordination check to minimize deficiencies, errors and omissions in drawings and specifications. -Performs analysis or calculations as assigned. -Produces well-organized, finished design documents of good appearance, accuracy, clarity and correctness from layouts, sketches or written instructions. -Creates work plan for assigned tasks. Monitors and projects personal workload status, advising supervisor of difficulties in accomplishing schedules. -Documents meetings and telephone conversations in order to communicate to discipline leader. -Creates inspection reports and punch lists. -Researches, documents and is responsible for discipline design compliance with all applicable codes, ordinances, standards and regulations. -Maintains AE checklists for Design Manager to review. -Establish Discipline basis of design for Design Manager to review. -Designing for Safety incorporated into drawings. -Coordinates and checks work carefully to minimize all deficiencies, errors and omissions.

What You Bring

-Individual on a licensure track by either actively completing the AXP program and/or engaged in the process of completing the ARE’s. -Intermediate skill with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint). -Planning, Scheduling and Profitability -Discipline production software experience (i.e., Revit). -Responds to field/construction questions as directed by discipline leader. -Bachelor's degree in interior design from an accredited college or university. -Ability to understand and execute the company vision and values of Team, Excellence, Service and Trust -3-5 years’ experience. -Uses Haskell standards and procedures. -Experienced with creating interior finish schedules and FF&E lists -Analysis Ability
