Tasks

-Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates -Estimate job costs and submit proposals for review. -Field customer requests and questions pre job -Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues -Ensure processes are followed from pre-bid until handoff meeting -Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors -Assist in budget development for operations -Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors -Be accountable for your own goals, decisions, and bids. -Create/ request Show Drawings; Write submittal letters. -Plan, organize, and establish objectives and goals for duties assigned. -Utilize bid log to track own bids and total bids closed -Cooperate with Project Management, Service, and Office Departments -Obtain Product Data Sheets, Samples, etc. -Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops. -Draft proposals to General Contractors, private clients, and other customers

What You Bring

-Ability to climb roofs and visit active job sites -Ability to read blueprints -Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet program, including strong analytical abilities -Edge Estimating Software preferred -Bilingual Spanish -Superior Listening and Communications Skills -Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with associates -3-5 years of roofing estimating experience -High School Diploma or equivalent, college preferred -Strong negotiating Skills -Knowledge of business and management principles
