Overview

Performs mechanical & electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment upgrades.

Tasks

-Properly and safely use hand and shop tools and equipment -Safeguard self with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – steel toed shoes, eye protection (glasses, goggles, and/or facemask) as necessary for task -Walk/stand on concrete floors continuously for up to 12 hours-continuous -Comply with all plant rules and corporate policies with regard to business conduct. -Ascend and descend stairs to enter most areas of the facility-continuous -May be required to work on control systems that run the line (PLC, Allen Bradley) -Provide valid proof of authorization to work in the U.S. -Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.

What You Bring

-Work for up to 12 hours in extreme hot/cold manufacturing environment -20% of time spent performing electrical and controls troubleshooting and repairs as necessary to support continued operation of the process including instrumentation, controls, motors, VFD's, PLC's, HMI's and basic electrical work. -Able to demonstrate competency in precision maintenance techniques -Regular attendance on site and ability to rotate varying shifts -Demonstrate proficiency with computers – Microsoft Office Suite and other programs as required. -Able to follow written and verbal work instructions -Ability to work at heights - frequently -Familiar with HMIs, PLCs, and Servos. -Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with others. -Ability to work in cramped areas and enter confined spaces-frequently -High School Diploma or GED equivalency -Able to identify, recommend and implement reliability and safety improvements to equipment -Must be able to log into and navigate SAP for work notifications -Excellent mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capability -Ability to routinely lift up to 80 lbs with assistance -Regular attendance onsite and ability to rotate and work shift work -Ability to pass maintenance skill test -5% Participation in safety programs, TPM teams, and PM optimization -Be able to read and write mechanical and electrical work instructions and/or blueprints -Ability to routinely lift up to 40 lbs without assistance -65% of time spent performing mechanical troubleshooting and repairs as necessary – pipe fitting, welding, machining, hydraulics, pneumatics, and working with sheet metal.
