Tasks

-Maintain a current understanding of the total costs for alternative means of construction, including hard construction costs and relevant soft costs -Responsible for creating and documenting all post-estimate project reviews and meetings. -Responsible for creating and documenting all project review strategy meetings, pre-read documentation for project reviews. -Thoroughly review and understand project plans and bid documents to effectively create project budgets, estimates, constructability studies, and proposals for commercial, high-density residential and industrial structural steel projects -Manage all aspects of the ConXtech estimating software to ensure all pricing and labor data is updated by each department -Stay current with ConXtech’s System and Solution representatives to maximize the effectiveness of ConXtech’s bidding strategies -Properly turn over bid and project documentation to ConXtech’s fulfilment team for a seamless handoff of all awarded projects -Participate in the collaborative design and integration of the ConXtech system with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and other sub trades during the estimating/bid process to improve project speed, simplify and/or improve ConXtech design integration, and reduce project costs -Establish and maintain respectful and cooperative working relationships with co-workers, field personnel, sub-contractors, architects, engineers, owners, general contractors and other business associates to help grow the ConXtech brand -Prepare reports comparing actual vs budgeted cost to ensure accurate estimates are properly aligned with current fulfillment standards -Provide upper management with reports on estimates/bids pending, won or lost by market -Maintain ConXtech estimate & bid schedule to properly communication project priority levels and due dates

What You Bring

-Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively function in a team environment -Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Construction Management or Engineering -Strong computer skills; must be proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word -Knowledge working with scheduling software, i.e. Microsoft Project, Primavera, etc. -Hands-on experience with MRP software, i.e. FabSuite, FabTrol, etc. -Excellent problem-solving skills -Familiarity with software such as Revit Structures, Tekla Structures & AutoCAD is preferred -Keen attention to detail -Experience in the Steel Construction Industry -Excellent time management skills -Strong basic math skills -Experience with estimating software, i.e. On-Screen Takeoff, ProEst, Planswift, etc.
