Tasks
-Constantly reads written communications and views email submissions. -Clearly communicate with trade partners and present risks and scope to Hensel Phelps management. -Review trade partner pricing and prepare a comprehensive evaluation of trade partner proposals, scope risks and opportunities on a proposal summary. -The individual in this position will periodically walk, kneel, sit, crouch, reach, stoop, read/see, speak, push, pull, lift, stand, and finger/type. The frequency of each action varies by workflow and office activity. -Prepare a thorough take-off of quantities for scopes of work. -Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, phone, computer, and computer printer. -Constantly computes, analyzes, and conceptualizes mathematical calculations and formulas.

What You Bring
-Good Excel skills. -Visual acuity and ability to operate a vehicle as certified and appropriate. -Walking - The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, boxes, cabinets, etc. -Understand trade partner/supplier relationships to support the ongoing success of Hensel Phelps. -Possess good communications skills and be detail oriented. -Physical Exam (if applicable) -Able to perform minor pricing studies (Building Specialties, Rough Carpentry). -Verification of Work Authorization and Employment Eligibility -Early learning of Hensel Phelps formats and procedures. -Understanding of subcontractor/supplier relationships to the ongoing success of Hensel Phelps. -Able to survey and prepare estimates for self-work scopes such as building specialties, carpentry, millwork and finishes. -Able to survey building specialties, carpentry, millwork, and some finishes. -Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in estimating on large commercial construction projects. -Valid Driver’s License. -Read and understand plans and specifications. -Beginning to show 3D thinking capability. -Light Work. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. -Early learning of format and procedures. -Experience in computer skills and software programs such as On-Screen Take-Off, Building Connected, SAGE and Assemble. -Demonstrate the ability to be organized and detail oriented. -Rarely exposed to noisy environments and outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind. -A 4-year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture or construction management, or six years of related experience without a degree. -Background Checks for Badging/Security Clearances (if applicable)
