Survey Office CAD Technician

Overview

Support survey techs by drafting and editing survey drawings using CAD.

Tasks

-Completes detailed drawings from sketches, plans, specification, and written and verbal instructions using computer-aided drafting programs; -Maintains neat and orderly work area, which allows access to project information to other team members. -Revises or changes drawings, traces and/or copies existing drawings and completes simple calculations with specific instructions; -Provides non-technical routine and basic support for assigned projects, using a computer as an aid to drafting at the entry-level -Reviews all work for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting to Project Surveyor or Project Manager for review; -Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job; requires some supervision, however can work independently

What You Bring

-Some experience with MicroStation is preferred, but not necessary. -Two-year technical school in survey technology along with computer-aided drafting or equivalent training and experience preferred. -Must be proficient with Basic Computer Skills (Microsoft Office etc. -Knowledge in Autodesk Civil 3D or higher
