Tasks

-Review customer plans, specifications, and scope of work to ensure alignment with product offerings and completeness before hand-off to design engineering. -Offer technical input to product development teams regarding new products or enhancements to existing ones. -Provide ongoing technical consultation to internal sales and engineering teams. -Provide pre-order engineering support, including preliminary drawings, communication diagrams, sequences of operation, and bills of materials. -Collaborate with design engineering, mechanical, and production teams to develop innovative solutions for unique applications. -Deliver technical training on IEM products and applications to internal teams and clients. -Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (NEC, UL, IEEE) during product and order evaluations. -Assist in building a library of standard design details, tools, and CAD resources for repeatable applications.

What You Bring

-Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills; self-motivated and able to work independently. -Familiarity with UL and IEEE standards (UL 891, 1558, 508A; IEEE C37.20, etc.) and the National Electric Code. -Proficiency in communications hardware and protocols, especially Ethernet networking, Modbus, and IEC 61850. -Strong understanding of three-phase electric power systems, including distribution, control, protection strategies, and rotating machines. -Ability to read and interpret mechanical assembly drawings[RC1] . -Experience with PLC and HMI programming, power studies, and protection coordination. -Experience with AutoCAD -Switchgear design experience. -Minimum 3 years of experience in design, applications, or field service roles with a focus on power products.
