Tasks

-Oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and project coordination -Support business development through proposal preparation, client meetings, and relationship building -Promote and enforce health and safety policies and procedures -Ensure compliance with ASTM, AASHTO, FDOT, ACI, and other applicable standards -Maintain certifications for laboratory and field operations (e.g., AASHTO, CCRL, FDOT) -Work closely with project managers, contractors, and design professionals to resolve technical issues -Monitor financial performance of the department, including budgets, billing, and forecasting. -Review and approve reports, test results, and documentation for accuracy and quality -Manage day-to-day operations of the CMT department, including field and laboratory testing -Supervise, mentor, and train technicians, inspectors, and junior engineers

What You Bring

-Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities -Proven leadership and team management skills. -7+ years of progressive experience in construction materials testing and inspection, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role -Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed -Strong knowledge of ASTM, AASHTO, ACI, and FDOT testing procedures -FDOT and/or CTQP certifications -Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)
